SPECIAL EDITION!
What do you say to people who think homeschoolers don’t have friends because they stay home all day?
Elisa says:
Yes, I have a lot of friends. I meet them because we go different places like field trips. Friends come to our house to learn, so I get to have my friends over to learn, to have fun. I get lots of breaks, so we can play games and have fun and do all sorts of stuff.
People think I stay home all day because it’s called HOMEschool. People think I just stay home all day and do work, but I actually get to go out to all kinds of places I’ve never been before. People don’t know that.
Diana (5) says:
I have friends because I don’t just stay home! I go to the nature center. It’s called Homeschool Rocks! and Camp HSR! and there we have all kinds of people, my friends, and some people that I don’t know. I meet people there. I don’t REALLY stay home all day!
Davíd (8) says:
When you are a homeschooler, you can go to a co-op group where you make lots of friends. The word “home” in homeschool isn’t actually very true. Usually, we’re at a park or a museum or something. Even when we are home, sometimes friends come over to do school with us. A few weeks ago, we went to a friend’s house to dissect a heart!
Rafael (5) says:
Well, actually I do have friends. When you homeschool, you don’t have to have no friends, I make friends at the park. When I meet someone, I make friends with them.
